day 36:
sorry i missed yesterday! it marked 5 weeks here. crazy. i had a really great day yesterday and just wanted to chill and not worry about blogging but i will get everyone caught up.i woke up yesterday and decided to start the day on the right foot…
it does not suck having a starbucks in the same building you live in.
had another good NST. cal and simms brought some lennys up so i would have lunch :) after i got off the monitor one my really good friends alison hammond came by. she lives out of town so it was such a treat to get to spend time with her catching up. whenever we finally get to see each other i swear we talk for hours. one of those special friends. thanks for coming to see me ali!!! after she left i spent the day doing what i had wanted to do for weeks…just watching lifetime movies and relaxing (hence the lack of blog!) my dad and debbie came up with some awesome vegetable soup (thank you!!) at dinner.
cal and simms came up too. after everyone left, i asked my day nurse who i would have that night and she said a name i had never even heard of. initially i was SO upset. i couldn't figure out why i continue to get nurses that are new to me and planned on complaining about it today.... but i decided to get over it. theres obviously a reason i don't know about and worrying i will have an emergency c section with someone i don't know as my nurse shows a lack of faith that i don't want to have. shouldn't waste my time getting so frustrated with petty things. i really have such a great life to be thankful for and so what if i get a nurse i haven't had. anyways, she ended up being awesome and i am hoping i have her tonight too. haha!
heres a picture i sent cal last night when he was asking how the NST was.. you can see how their heart rates go from wild and awake to asleep at the EXACT same time (their heart rates are in the blue.) i thought it was really cool. they always do it and i wish they planned on doing it when they come out haha!
(i hope you guys can see that. i have no idea how tiny that will look on your phone)
so now to today!
today has been great too. some people from the church where my dad preaches (CEC) stopped by to pray with me. amazing. i had another great NST this morning and was actually given a time for my ultrasound today, which NEVER happens. they usually just call me up whenever they're ready and i have no idea when ill be going. so today i could actually tell my mom and cal ahead of time so they could come. my poor mom didn't even get to see the whole ultrasound because simms was starving and she left to feed him so cal could stay. thank you mom!
ULTRASOUND RESULTS:
baby a was 3 lbs even and the 20th percentile (from 2 lbs 9 oz and 43rd percentile two weeks ago)
baby b was 3 lbs 5 oz and the 42nd percentile (from 2 lbs 9 oz and 45th percentile two weeks ago)
10% difference in the two
fluid was the same. no shunting on either baby. cords looked good. babies would NOT cooperate for a 3d pic. doc towers was very happy with all of it even though baby a has gone from being the bigger baby, to equal, and now to being the smaller baby. i thought it was funny because i have been telling doc hennessey for two weeks that i thought they were switching (as far as who is bigger) and i was right! doc towers said he expects them to both be over 4 lbs at delivery and as much as i hope he is right, i think they will be barely 4 if they are at all. hopefully I'm wrong!
the thunderstorms were an awesome surprise today. i can't believe its taken 5 weeks to have one!! they're one of my favorite things. so no complaints up here!
